Darlington law firm Latimer Hinks is hoping to hit the right note with sponsorship of the Darlington Bands in the Park 2007 season. Bands from across the region will play at the newly-refurbished South Park band stand during June, July and August as part of the musical festival. Latimer Hinks is sponsoring the July programme, which features the Billingham Silver Band, Cockerton Prize Silver Band, Durham and Darlington Schools ensembles, Ferryhill Town Band and Darlington Big Band. The concerts will take place on Sundays throughout July, from 3pm to 5pm. Anne Elliott, partner at Latimer Hinks said: Latimer Hinks is delighted to support this community initiative. There is so much local musical talent around and this is an ideal chance for people to come along and relax and enjoy the sunshine and the music. Jenny Chapman, Darlington Borough Council Cabinet Member for Leisure Services said: We want to encourage families to visit South Park and use the new and refurbished facilities, as well as enjoy the music. Without the support of local business we would not be able to bring all this wonderful music to South Park and we are grateful for Latimer Hinks support.
