Having trained and started his career with a large regional law firm in the North East of England, Jonathan joined Latimer Hinks in 2014 shortly after qualifying as a solicitor.

Areas of Practice:

Jonathan advises on all aspects of commercial property with a particular emphasis on acquisitions, disposals, secured lending, leasing (of retail, industrial, office and leisure premises) and the property aspects of corporate transactions.

He is a specialist in landlord and tenant matters and acts for a number of investor clients in relation to the property management of their extensive portfolios including tenancies and title reviews.

Jonathan regularly acts for landed estates owners and those with substantial land holdings advising on a broad range of matters including sales, leasing, easements, covenants and overage agreements.

He also enjoys dealing with the acquisition of small residential development sites and the setting up of the plot sale documentation. Jonathan also regularly deals with high value or complex residential property transactions and is therefore accredited under the Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

Jonathan has an eye for detail and enjoys offering pragmatic solutions for his clients whilst fostering long-lasting client relationships.

Recent Matters:

  • Acting on behalf of an experienced developer in relation to the design and construction of six executive homes in Oxfordshire, including the preparation of bespoke development agreements
  • Letting of a football stadium in the Midlands
  • Acting on behalf of a landlord in relation to the variation of a lease of a motorway service station, the variation of an agreement for lease (so as to extend the term of the lease to be entered into pursuant to that agreement, therefore securing rental income of in excess of £3 million) a licence for alterations to facilitate the installation of EV charging points and a licence to sublet part for an on-site substation
  • Letting of a large industrial unit in South West England with an aggregate rental income for the term of circa £7 million
  • Acting on behalf of a large storage and distribution company in relation to the property aspects of an intra-group company transfer and refinance
