Solicitor, Private Client
Nikita began her legal career as a secretary at Latimer Hinks Solicitors in 2014 becoming a trainee solicitor in 2015. Completing this with Latimer Hinks, Nikita qualified as a solicitor in the Private Client Team in May 2017. Nikita is the current Junior Vice President of the Tees Valley Law Society and is also an associate member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly).
Areas of practice:
Given Nikita’s length of experience, she has had exposure to a variety of clients, meaning she is confident in dealing with estate, wealth and tax planning whilst being able to assist with the administration of a variety of complex estates. She also manages numerous files where clients have appointed professional attorneys or deputies by ensuring that their financial and welfare needs are met.
Nikita is confidently able to evaluate clients’ needs whilst advising and structuring their arrangements with asset protection and tax planning in mind – whether this be in the advice she offers in relation to Wills or other arrangements of a more complex and sophisticated nature.
- Emergency application for Probate in circumstances where the executors in a high-net-worth estate required immediate access to liquid assets in order to protect the welfare of the employees of the deceased
- Acting for young beneficiaries in receipt of a large inheritance to structure their arrangements in the most tax efficient way with a view to maintaining the wishes of the deceased
- Preparing Wills which ensure that a married couple’s combined estates capture the Residence Nil Rate Band whilst protecting the remainder of the estate for the surviving spouse
- Administering complex estates which are comprised of various foreign assets
